Akkadian Health is a mixed-billing practice  - in most cases  you will incur out-of-pocket expenses for our services.

Akkadian Health will charge your stored Credit Card for all applicable fees in full after each appointment - as such,  please ensure sufficient funds are available at the conclusion of your appointment to avoid additional administration or late payment fees.

Akkadian Health may cancel, suspend or terminate services if fees are past due.

All fees are in line with (and often below) national private practice averages.

Where applicable, we process your Medicare claim immediately once full payment of fees is received. The rebate then takes 2-3 working days to return into the bank account you have nominated with Medicare.

If you are not registered for Medicare in Australia, you may incur additional charges and will not be eligible for rebates listed in our Fee Schedule.

NOTE: Fees must be paid   in full  before your Medicare claim will be processed on your behalf.

PSYCHIATRY SERVICES

Psychiatry services require a referral. 

• ONE OFF ASSESSMENT. You may be referred to Akkadian Health medical specialist psychiatry services for a one-off Assessment with a comprehensive report sent back to your GP. This ‘General Psychiatric Assessment’ fee is $720 and the Medicare rebate is approximately $427.70.

• NOTE: ADHD ASSESSMENTS are now conducted across two sessions as part of our pre-paid ADHD CARE PACKAGE. Please be advised that all ADHD-related "Review" appointments for patients previously diagnosed wtih ADHD attract standard consultation fees (in line with Medicare "rules") depending on the nature of the review, length of the appointment and the time that has elapsed since the original Psychiatric Assessment.
  

MENTAL HEALTH (including PSYCHOLOGY) SERVICES

Akkadian Health Psychology and Mental Health Clinician allied health services can be accessed by anyone (with or without a referral). 

• Psychology sessions are normally $220 (50 minutes) 

• NOTE: A Mental Health Treatment Plan and referral from a GP (or treating psychiatrist) will allow you to receive a Medicare rebate of $92.90 for up to 10 Psychology sessions per year under the current Australian Government   Better Access initiative. Medicare rebates do not currently apply for Mental Health Clinician sessions.
  

• NOTE: If you have private health extras cover, allied health fees may be reimbursed - please check with your provider.
